“Waylon” is a 13 yr old registered gypsy crossbred that’s stands a stout 14.1 hands tall! He is as wide as he is tall!This is the kind of gelding you really have a hard time writing an add on because he’s just that good and words really can’t explain how cool this cat is. Waylon has traveled the country and has worn many hats for many different families and is truly loved by all who have ever had the pleasure to meet him or swing a leg over him. Here on the ranch he has been used for all aspects that go into running a ranch and getting work done. He has gathered and sorted many head a yearlings.He has packed the babies along beside us and kept them safe while we do our chores. He always keeps a cool head whether an adult or cow kid is on him. Waylon has been on the rodeo circuit and has carried our great flag in front of huge crowds with all the lights and noise. The kids have taken him to junior rodeos and playdays for the barrels and the poles and he’s the coolest stick there. Waylon has been out to the mountains in Wyoming and Montana to help gather big groups of cattle in really rough country and wake up and go on a trail ride down the big rivers. He has a big puppy dog personality and lives up to the saying gentle giant. He’s a great babysitter at the barn as well for the kids on a rainy day to jump on and go play in the mud and the water. Waylon has seen plenty of swampy bottoms, thick briars and hay pastures up to his chest and always stays sure footed and sane. Now do not let his size fool you this gelding is super broke and can really move out and get something done for you. His travel is awesome and he will drag his rear when you say woa!He is an upstanding citizen on the ground to saddle, bridle , bathe and groom even for the smallest human. I promise you won’t find another Gypsy Cross like him. He stays broke and gentle no matter how much time he had off and will fit any level rider in the country.
